Russian Television

Television in Russia has a lot in common with television in the United States. Tune into ORT (Russia's public television) and you'll find shows like The Weakest Link and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Change over to NTV and you'll see familiar movies like The Point of No Return and Beetlejuice. Later on you may even catch an episode of ER or Nash Bridges. But Russia has its own brand of programs too, including news, sports, drama, talk shows, and game shows. This Web site, Russian Internet, has links to various Russian television stations. Many of them broadcast on the Internet, so you may be able to sample a bit of Russian television for yourself.
